YNSA-Alpha-Stim 100- Acupuncture Influence on Exacerbated Pain Syndrome resulting from Knee Joint Gonarthrosis, condition subsequent to repeated Surgical Interventions for Multiarticular Disk Prolapse of the Lumbar Spine
Case 13 Here we have a 48-year old female with a long-time neurological anamnesis:Multiarticular disk prolapse, spinal (vertebral) canal stenosis, gonarthrosis, two surgical inteventions of the lumbar spine. Subsequent to surgery the patient spent many months in two different rehabilitation centers resulting in only a slight reduction of pain.
Treatment Course:
During the past few weeks this patient has been treated
by us by means of the classical YNSA diagnostic and treatment methods by using acupuncture
needles (at most time 12-15 needles need to be inserted in order for the patient to
experience total freedom of pain).
At todays consultation (30 January 1998) a new type of microcurrent stimulation method (Alpha-Stim 100, produced by the firm EPII) will be experimented with for the first time above the skull-ear axis (YNSA-ear-acupuncture point, lumbar spine for 20 seconds, at 600 micro ampere).

To our surprise the success was overwhelming, then the patient was immediately free of pain, each Y-point according to the YNSA method disappeared immediately.
This is apparently a highly qualified alternative stimulation method to the customary acupuncture needle technique of treating such pain syndromes within the field of neuro-accupuncture and pain therapy.
