Findings and Treatment Course: After precise acupuncture needle insertion on the basic point E, Y points lung and kidney, bilateral, the patient’s symptoms disappeared within 30-60 seconds. The wheezing symptoms disappeared as much as 80-90 % (such quick asthma results are only known after usage of adrenaline in 10-20 minutes).

The patient accordingly received further treatment with this method. Furthermore, the patient was also prescribed steroid inhalant medication as well as long-lasting betamimetic, but after approximately 3-4 weeks it was possible to reduce this dosage.

The use of inhalant steroid medication such as Pulmicort Turbohlar and long-lasting betamimetic such as Oxis 12.5 mg Tubohlar are part of the treatment of Asthma and cannot be done away with. The acupuncture offers an additional means in order to keep the ailment under control.

After 10 treatments out patient is healthy and is able to breathe freely without much difficulty. (see photo 319-320 dated 1 April 1998).
